Transpennine Railways

Whitcher Wildlife Ltd were commissioned to carry out extended Phase 1 Habitat surveys and Biodiversity Calculations of several sections of railway line to provide baseline survey information for a large electrification project.

All surveys were completed and comprehensive reports prepared outlining any potential issues and areas where further surveys or supervision was required.

Whitcher Wildlife Ltd have continued to support the contractor carrying out vegetation clearance and fencing works by hand searching some areas, carrying out additional surveys and supervising works, where required.

Biodiversity calculations have also be carried out to support the initial survey work and to provide a details assessment of the habitat value prior to the works commencing.
